John is a poet, whose work has been published in numerous
magazines in the UK and overseas. He writes plays and short
stories as well as poetry, and has had two collections published
—The Drowning Fish and See No Evil. He is also a regular performer
at poetry events throughout the North West and recently
took part in a Citizen 32 tour of Northern Ireland. John is also a
political activist and campaigner.
Christina is an educationalist who has worked with young people,
inspiring them to read, enjoy and write poetry and fiction. She
has organised workshops with poets and novelists and has
worked with young people as part of the Shakespeare in Schools
project. Christina has also been active in labour movement and
community organisations and has been involved in a number of
campaigns.
Dave is a writer and journalist and has worked on a number of
newspapers and magazines in the North West of England. As
well as journalism, he has written short stories, screenplays and
a novel. He also lectures in journalism and has been active in
various labour movement and campaigning organisations. He is
an active member of the National Union of Journalists, currently
serving on the union’s National Executive Council and was
President of the union in 2001.
